I knew it.
Oh my gosh. I knew I would be terrible at blogging! I promise I will do better! Life has been busy but good. We had an awesome Halloween and went out with some friends. We carved some sweet pumpkins- I'll post pics soon, my phone broke and they are all on there. My replacement phone also broke yesterday. I had it for like 2 weeks. I think its me. I think I have terrible phone luck. All my phones have always sucked. I started a new job, at New Roads, a treatment center where Pete works. I like it. Mostly I like the pay raise, and lack of commute. That drive was killing me. I also got this sweet Mac I am writing this on right now, so you can't beat that. What do I do, you ask? Oh well I'm not really sure. I have become pretty good at making myself look busy though. Pete has been hunting and playing basketball on his city league. He is a great athlete. Well I better get to work but I promise I will write more later, and post some pictures!

Our Camping Adventure

I meant to write this two weeks ago but such is life. We got a new camper and decided to take it out for a trial run up at Strawberry Reservoir. It is super nice! Pete's brother AJ and his friend came as well. The first night I got really tired super early so I decided since everyone was still up and going in and out of the camper that I would sleep in the back of our new Land Rover. That was not my best idea ever. Not only did it get freezing in the middle of the night, I have never been so uncomfortable in my life! I was up most of the night thinking about going into the camper, but I didn't want to wake anyone up. Plus I was pretty sure if I opened the door I would freeze to death. Finally at like 8 am I got up and went in there and made Pete cuddle with me for warmth for like 3 hours. Haha. We got up and went and did some fishing. Pete is an awesome fisherman. The only downfall was there were bee's. I am deathly allergic to bee's. And of course my epipen got left home. I seriously need to be more responsible. Anyways, these stupid bee's weren't leaving us alone. Mostly Pete. He finally caught a fish and was reeling it in and one starts attacking him on the back. I start yelling at him and he is jumping around, trying to reel in this fish and slap the bee off him. His glasses flew off. And that stupid fish got off the line. It was thoroughly entertaining. Pete is so sweet, he kept running over to me when I would freak out about a bee and he would kill it, or grab it bare handed and get stung, just so I wouldn't. He was shielding my body with his. Way to take one for the team babe! We weren't getting too many bites, so we moved down the lake a little ways. Pete got another bite, and as he was reeling it in the line snapped. That kid grabbed the fishing line before it went into the water, and pulled it in with his bare hands. If we were lost in the wilderness I have no doubt we could survive with all his manly capabilities. He is so awesome.

I dont like to brag
But I will brag about my sweet husband ALL DAY LONG. He is the best person I have ever known. He is very caring and aware and always tries to make me happy. Anyways, I have a collection of pictures of flowers the sweet boy has given me that I want to post because, like I said, I just think he is amazing and want to share his amazingness with everyone!

Finally
So I have been feeling a bit under the weather lately. And that has made me kind of lazy. I finally felt a bit better today, so I made a great dinner for Pete and I while he was at basketball.

Cobb Salads! Mmm they were so good! I made a homemade vinaigrette as well. I'll include the recipe because it turned out really well. Also please forgive me, because I never measure anything, so these are kind of approximations!
Basil Parmesan Vinaigrette
1/3 cup olive oil
2 T white wine vinegar
1/2 fresh lemon
2 T parmesan
1 T garlic minced
3 fresh basil leaves
Pepper to taste
Put all the ingredients in a Magic Bullet (or blender) and pulse till mixed. Serve immediately :)

I am super lucky...
Sunday night Pete was pretty sick, and he was tossing and turning a bunch, and getting up a lot, so in turn, I did not get a lot of sleep. Monday was the longest day of work ever! I was so tired all day. Pete called me on the way home and asked if I wanted to cook or if we should go out. I told him I would just cook, because we have chicken in the fridge and other stuff that needs to be used. I was super dreading it though. When I pulled up to the house there was a little table set up int he backyard, with a table cloth, some candles, and chinese food! I sure do love that boy.

State Fair

So Pete and I have been trying to do a date night every week. Last week he planned it, and we went to The Pie. It was my first time. It was so fun! Tonight was my night, and all I've been wanting to do for like a week and a half is go to the fair. So after much badgering, I finally convinced Pete to go. All I wanted to do was ride the ferris wheel, which we got to do. So much fun. We also tried a TON of food. We had, python, doughnut hamburger (a hamburger with a donut as the bun), deep fried mac and cheese, a gyro, mini donuts, cajun chicken, and deep fried cheese! I don't know how Pete kept eating. I had like a bite of each, and I was still so full. The only thing we didn't get to try that I wanted was a deep fried pickle. Oh well, there is always next year. Pete also won me a cute pink pig, and a giant rastafarian banana. Even though he didn't want to go, Pete admitted he had a great time. Love my cute husband and our date nights!

Finally got to ride the Ferris Wheel!
Pete with his donut cheeseburger. It was horrible.

Bloggy Mc Blogster
So pretty much all my friends are married and have babies or moved away by now, so I figured blogging would be a good way to stay connected. With all this free time on my hands, I need to fill it with something. Ha. So here is our blog! Here is a quick little update on our lives: I'm still working in Provo 5 days a week, commuting from SLC. 2 days a week I am lucky enough that Pete works in Provo as well, so he can drive, and I can sleep in the passenger seat. Its a very nice set up if I do say so myself. The other 3 days he "works from home." This consists of some computer work, some nintendo, and possibly fishing. He is doing his basketball league, where he is clearly the best player there. He just finished his football league, where he became quarterback due to some unforeseen circumstances, and did great. I have been keeping busy working, and trying to unpack our house, along with several projects around the house including painting the dog house, (it looks awesome) and ripping up the carpet and finishing the stairs. Life is hectic, but we love it!
